Live country dance band from the metropolitan New York City area in the 1990s. There were several line ups of the band, including this one featuring Gary Gordon, John Cordes, Mike Plotino, John Sheridan and Ray Pasnen. We opened for lots of big country acts like: Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Charlie Daniels Band, Little Texas, Carlene Carter, Roseanne Cash and many more.
Here is a live performance from the Newsday Stage in Rego Park in the mid-90’s:
Savannah Sky was well known for playing high-energy country dance music with a well rounded band of
singers/musicians. Everyone in the band was a singer and the line-up consisted of John Cordes playing
fiddle and mandolin, Gary Gordon playing guitar, John Sheridan on drums, Mike Plotino on bass and Ray Pasnen on keyboard.
The incredible range of songs and in-depth knowledge of the country dance scene made Savannah Sky one of
New York City’s most promising acts!
