In 1989, after college, I moved to Auburn, NY and started a jingle business. It was not entirely successful but I got to meet a lot of friendly people and wrote a bunch of music in 30 and 60 second intervals.
My buddy, Tony (also my roommate in college), was my business partner and I must have hit 200 businesses that first summer just drumming up some work. He came across some of the jingles and sent them along to me.
I had a few interested parties and came up with some little ditties. Here are the jingles for Strathmore Paints, The Owasco Mariner, Fayetteville Dodge and Chubby’s Restaurant. All from the upstate NY area around Auburn.
I don’t think these are all of them but just what was laying around, somewhere.. Keep in mind that they are jingles. I had to leave sometimes 20 whole seconds for talking. :)
WARNING: You may find yourself hankering for a hot dog from The Owasco Mariner or a hot new Dodge Truck from Fayetteville Dodge.
